My favorite singer is Rob Halford of Judas Priest, the guy can wail and hit the highs and some lows. He is the metal god of heavy metal and probably the forfather for the likes of Linkin Park and Slipknot; with his post (or solo ) Priest days. He once did an album with Trent Renzor mixing and producing.
As for band, it is the Neville Brothers; together they are a great band. They go out there and have fun, you can feel the love and energy coming off the stage. They do everything from pop to country to jazz to R&B to funk to rock.

Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon. He had an amazing range. He harmonized like no other. He could hit very high notes, while still sounding masculine. Listen to the album "Blind Melon", it's one of the greatest CD's ever made.
