is the piture quality as good as copy to copy? i got windows xp.

assuming a dvd
download dvdshrink install it and run it
it will size it for you
it will burn to disc for you
nice and simply even I can use it

if its on a disc then you can just copy the files to your hdd then to a new disc if thats what you want to do
hard way though
just use nero and copy from disc to disc a lot easier
if its tape(vhs etc) then you need special hardware and software to do it it's called a video capture card the software is normally with it
you may lose a bit of quality but there are programs to improve the quality as well

Where are you copying the file from?

You're using a computer, not a photo copier. The quality remains the same.

if its copywrited film this cannot be done as its illegal...if its home movie or non copywrited then you can use....nero re-ncode to take it from a disk to hard drive and viceversa...

use dvdx to rip it, specifying the size of the final disc, and then use nero to burn it to vcd.

simpel copy past and ENJOY any problem
