They can try, but it's up to you to determine if the day is ruined or not.

Yes, newspapers & TV news, ruins each day,
the conflict & drama from the world of characters
who want to rule our ways...
Have they my permission?
Have i a choice ?
But then without conflict we have a frictionless existence,
would my day be ruined any different from a divided
heart, or between differences of temperaments than from
the absence of my permission, the paradox is latent within
my mind, the attitude of excepting a ruined day without my
permission leads me into the pattern of a lonely spectator,
manifesting poetry to appease my ruinisms of life ...
Yes, the worlds audience takes for granted that they need
not have my permission, so my days belong to them,
but wait, projecting from my words lay sorrow, for they who
ruin my days have taken banality to an archetype, they
are the ones with ruined ways, they are their own antagonists,
so they who ruin my day without permission have my permission
to expose their frustrated ambitions that will ruin their day !!

Listen and listen close. Unless the news you receive is of some catastrophic nature, your outlook will determine your day. If some idiot ruins your day, then that's your own damn fault. No one has any power over you that you don't LET them have. If you are secure in yourself and know that you are doing what is right in your heart, then screw what anyone else has to say.

Not if you maintain a positive mental attitude. You have to choose to let them ruin your day. Nobody can bring you down if you do not allow it. I work with negative people all the time and I just smile and tell them to have a super day!

Not unless I let them get to me. I've also learned that over time no matter how bad my day is I can start it over at anytime.
