What the person above me said is not true(they can't keep you out of your own country).Actually, they will force you to come in to the country to prosecute you ;). I just came back from Mexico City about a week ago. I had a speeding ticket due (after the 21 days they give you to give you plead) it was in warrant status before I went. -I knew this- because I was spending so much money on the trip that I didn't want to spend all my money at once. I called the airport(immigration) and asked and there is no problem. I live in Texas. Texas is pretty strict so I'm sure whatever state your in has the same or a law similar to ours. Just don't drive to the airport. It takes a while to get out and you'll miss your flight. Don't risk it. Best thing to do though is call the airport you will be traveling out of. They might not know but they will get you to someone that does.

Not flying but coming back could be a problem for u, they wont let u in if u dont pay

No, the airlines do not run criminal checks in and out of Mexico.
