I have an old etower. when I click the game icon on the start up screen it has four games, three of them will work the fourth will not. When I click on it I get a window that says. This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down. I have a restore CD that came with the machine, but I don't know what will happen if I put it in. Will it overwrite or delete some files I may not want to lose? Will using the CD fix the problem?

Yes the restore CD will nuke all your current files and programs. You are better off finding another version of the game. You could try and remove all the games and reinstalling them. EMachines usually have 2 CD's. The last one has a copy of the OS on it. You can go to your "control panel". Find "add remove programs". Select "windows components". choose "accessories". Uncheck "games". after you do that. reboot and go through the same process but this time check the "games" box and it will install the games again.

It is Very Easy. The Program isn't there. You need to find that program on another computer. Copy it and then place it on your computer. Than is it.
