I recently got laid off because of downsizing but still receive checks from my company. Can I put them as my current employer on my resume?

There is no glitch. I am due this money because I worked for the city and we get checks every two weeks. I would get a check but it's a delayed payment.

Technically, no. It was probably a glitch in their financial system why you still get paid. However, I would not go out and spend their money. Once they find out they overpaid you, they will come for it. And legally, they will get it.
