It's not the whole solution. But here's a start. Line Item Veto! And just like today's veto it has to get 2/3ds of the votes in the House and Senate to be overridden.

*LOL* Then you can really blame the President for the budget over runs.

As it is now the President only proposes a budget ot Congress. Congress 'adjusts' it to meet their desires. And the President signs or vetos what Congress has already passed. A strict up or down deal.

Well, glad to see someone else has woke up to the massive pork barrel spending that has been happening for what seems like forever. But it's not only in military spending which is only a drop in the barrel compared to some of the things Congress and Senate people waste our dollars on.
Where were you when the muti-million dollar "Bridge to Nowhere" in Alaska was a major news item? All we ever hear is things like that is nothing compared to this or that. But if you combine the whole s***'en caboodle together, those little drops all add up into one BIG bucket full.
The American public itself has to stand up and vote these professional politicians out of office and start voting in some honest people who will look out for the people of this country rather then their self-interests. This country is based on People for the People by the People, and not for individualists sitting on their duffs on capitol hill blaming one another for what They are all responsible for.

If you really understood the way the financial structure of this nation works, you would realize that Federal Reserve Notes cannot be printed until they are 'borrowed' into existence. Each one of them is a debt instrument and the only way they can be circulated is if debt expands. Read up on the Federal Reserve and how money really works. It'll make you cry.
