How far do you think is it right to maim and kill thousands of people, attack small countries like Lebanon and Syria, destroy property and orphan children just because one of their soldiers has been kidnapped. Dont you think we as the people of the world should at least condemn this inhuman hooliganism?

This is the question that no one has an answer to!! I really don't know!! Israel invaded palestine, Killed the people, and have been doing that since 60 years! And they will never stop!! who dares to.. look at the arab leaders. They are all sitting back and watchin. Some of them are even backing up israel and blaming Lebanon!! Israel will never stop the killing and they will never stop terrorising!! But, i really don't know why isn't anyone there to stop them!

Although I don't condone what Israel is doing you have to remember that Syria and Lebanon harbor terrorists. They sanction their behavior and are too wimpy to insist they restrain themselves. You're right, the abduction and death of Israeli soldiers is not sufficient provocation for what Israel is doing. I strongly disagree with President Bush that "Israel has the right to defend itself ..." Defend itself, yes. Obliterate innocent civilians in the process? NO! If it were Korea you can bet we wouldn't stand idly by while they attacked another country. Many countries around the globe are admonishing Israel for their unconscionable behavior. This could lead us into another world war.

NO! Lebanon and Syria have terrorists groups that are plotting and attacking Israel. Israel is doing the right thing.

Get your facts straight.

I love liberals. It is just one solder. I bet if it was one Lebanon citizen who was taken by Israel you would hear a different story out of this person. And by the way, Israel is a small country.

First of all, I don't know what you mean by 'mum', since I've heard more about that in the last few days than I've heard about the genocide in Darfur over the last several months!

Anyway, perhaps the short answer to your question is: Because the world was also mum to repeated Palestinian suicide bombings of Israelis for years.

The US media is being rather subdued about it, but the world at large isn't. Germany and France have both spoken out about it, and it is right now being discussed in the UN. Trust me, its only here in America that you can watch the news and still not know what is going on.

A government has only three purposes:
1) To protect it's citizens from each other, in the form of theft or violence.
2) To protect it's citizens from itself, in the form of collectivism or tyrrany
3), and most important- to protect it's citizens from other countries. If a government cannot do any one of these things, it has no right to exist.

You must have failed your history class!
The arabs have since 1942 attacked the Israelies and continue to do so today.
Israel is responding to those continued attacks and are NOT the terrorist.

Politicians aren't going to risk huge funding from Jewish people in the USA. Who do you think control the media?
