New at gaming.........any suggestions?

i've not played much video games before. Which vdeo games do u suggest are the best to be played.(PC based)

Again, as was mentioned in a previous answer, it does depend a lot on the type of games that you used to play or are interested in. I, myself, am not really all that interested in Racing games or Sports-based games, so I tend to stay far away from them.

Any game created by Blizzard (Warcraft series, Diablo series, Starcraft, etc.) is a good start, usually. As a company, Blizzard has created some of the most addictive games out there.

The Sims games tend to be very addictive for anyone that doesn't play games on a regular basis.

For roleplaying games, try out Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind, and

For first person shooters, you can't go wrong with Halflife 1 and 2. I also very much enjoyed No One Lives Forever (1 & 2).

The number of choices you have going for you will largely depend on how fast your computer is, how much RAM it contains, and how advanced your graphics card is.

My ultimate recommendation? Check out Gamespot.com, read the reviews, search through the games based upon the genre, and go from there.

Maple Story is a wicked cool MMORPG it is free and with broadband it takes less than an hour (this is really good compared to AOL which litterally takes 72 hours)

Depends on what things your into and wat your pc can handle. but id say start wit a racing game like one of the need for speed's. Those are fun and you wont get bored of them. And if your into sports try one of the Mvp baseball games or Madden 06 great games do get boring after awile but theres alot you can do on them. have fun bye
