You must understand the concept of real vs. fake. Just because someone claims they are a Christian doesn't mean they really are. Some church may claim to be Christian when they're really not living up to Christian values. Af far as church buildings, that's all that some people care about, when that's not what's important. I can understand making a church bigger to be able to fit more people. Unfortunately, some people try to make it into a scandel just to make money. The Bible references those people as "wolves in sleep's clothing". There's a story in the Bible where some people tried to use the church to sell things and Jesus was very upset about that. I guess what I'm saying is... It's better to look to the Bible then what these other people are doing.

churchs do help many starving people but its their responsibility to go. nobody from a church is going to go around the neighborhood asking if anybody is homeless and starving. alot of churchs do give food to the needy who go. like the Bible says "God helps those who help themselves." besides the government is the real scandal. if i spend so much of my money on a retirement plan i cant see it till im 65. why cant i just take some now at a time when im alive. for many people 65 wont come and the government is saying they are broke. where does the money go? at least with the fancy church you can see where your money is being invested to. God only asks for 10%

I really don't think it's the religion itself. It's the majority of people with tainted souls infecting the church. There are some good-hearted Christians in this world that keep the preaching to a minimum and help people and would much rather spend their Sundays worshipping in their own way, while helping others, instead of in a crowded church on a hard bench. My next door neighbors' son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren are like that. When I told them of my plans to be married, they immediately offered to pray for me at church. That made me feel good, just as my friend lighting some candles for me (he is Wiccan) made me feel good. Even if it doesn't work, it's all for the best of intentions, right?
Sadly, that's become a very small amount of people. Most are like the bloodsucking leaches you find more and more around here who waste a ton of bandwidth copying and pasting Bible verses that condemn people to hell. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink, and most of these people are drowning us who have chosen other paths of enlightenment.
As for the tithes going towards the church's aesthetics, I completely agree, but with the addition that it's a load of crap that more adults don't help out with the community service. My old church (yes, I used to be HEAVILY involved in church) did community service, mainly raising money for a church in another town that took in kids after school and fed them and kept them entertained while their parents were at work. But the only adults that helped out were the sponsors. What a load of crap.
That's why I'm not involved in religion anymore. Just a bunch of hypocrites spoiling the whole name of the religion for others. One bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch, but it sure makes it a lot less appealing.

ignore psychics. You requested "make me believe." you received't. Ever. no longer till you actual have the adventure of being psychic your self. And quess what, then you definately received't must believe. right it truly is the reason it truly is virtually always so summary. those human beings do not actual see the answer. That calls for the flexibility to go away your body and be their. A "psychic" who can attempt this may virtually under no circumstances difficulty with helping, no longer because they don't care, yet because they're conscious that issues that ensue contained in the actual universe have, finally, little or no meaning. no remember how significant societal values say it truly is. Like someone demise. no one ever actual dies. The psychics you're attentive to can study individuals's minds. And as you understand, maximum minds are truly wondered. it truly is why their info in summary.

I think you answered your own question. My problem with religion is not only the weak minded people who follow but all churches are tax exempt and nonprofit. Excuse me! The Catholic church is worth Millions or Billions of dollars. Why that sounds like a profit to me.

I'm Christian and I don't go to church, tithe, and only give to church ministries, when God gives me a windfall and I can....I know what you mean though, that's why I've detached myself from the church....they've always got their hand out, but when I was destitute [and still am] and needed them for help....well let's just say I was looking for "love" in all the wrong places.

No, cpt, it's not about the money.
Xianity, and religion in general,
exist because no government could possibly hire enough cops and soldiers to maintain internal domestic order.
Therefore, the governments need that the people be hypnotized
by some sort of brain-internalized mandates.Like fear of hell. Fear of hell substitutes for fear of prison.

I don't think it is anymore, by now we have followers that really believe. However, the facts show that is how Christianity started, Power and wealth.
