I ask, because a friend of mine and I disagree on wether or not it is cheating if there is no physical contact.

Anything that takes your fous off your spouse and making your marriage work is cheating- with or without contact.
Spouces of alcoholis have been saying it for years- the other woman or man was he bottle. Same with drugs. Same with cyber sex, gambling-- whatever.
If you are not concentrating on what is best for your marriage then that can be seen as cheating by the offended party.
I personally do not agree with cheating- whether it is over the net or in person. Expend some of that energy on making your marriage whole again and you might be surprised at the results.

I think its cheating and your partner does not deserve it. If your enjoying the company cyber lover more than spending time with your partner you dont love that person and should stop wasting his and your own time.

Yes i have and i think it is because you are being intimate with some one else other then spouse it it is just chatting that is one thing but if it starts to get to be more then just chatting then it starts to cross the line to cheating

somehow in my mind its completely fine no contact no real cheating i guess i wouldnt be too upset if i found him doing the same but would be jealous of the time spent online and not with me

Forgodsake sex doesn't allways matter! Physical contact doesn't allways matter. I don't consider it cheating but although it doesn't feel right though.
