Well, eHow.com is getting to be my favorite site these days. Here is a link to a list of stains and how to get them off of furniture. Hope this helps!

I use Wool-Lite for any stain. It treats the furniture (which I am sure you spent good money on) like a delicate piece of fabric. Always try to remove the stain immediately because letting it set will require harsher products that could damage the material. Happy Cleaning.

I love a product available at discounters and home improvement stores called Foleys Upholstery and Fabric cleaner. It works on carpet, laundry, upholstery, even purses. It doesn't need to be rinsed off and will not create mystery stains later attracting dust and dirt to it. I also highly recommend scotchguarding your upholstered items to prevent future stains. The one I like is by Guardsman merely because it is one of the few that doesn't have a gageous odor. But, Foleys will really brighten up your upholstery.

Formula 409. No kidding, 409 does EVERYTHING. This is a fact. It disolves blood, stains, pet problems, and there is nothing even close to it for cleaning the stove top.

I quit buying laundry products like Shout and other pre-spray type products, 409 works better than any of them. Trust me on this. No home should be without a large bottle of 409.

(No, I don't work for them, I just KNOW how good it is)

When you first get a stain use seltzer water after that oxyclean works really well. But if you use the first one it dries and you dont have to worry about scrubbing out soap.

I use the shout sticks. I spilled a whole cup of gravy on my couch and carpet and that stuff got it out, didn't even had to scrub hard.
