The Dogon tribe has advanced knowledge of our solar system such has the 4 moons of Jupiter, and the rings of Saturn, which can't be see with a telescope. They have advance knowledge of the Sirius stars. They knew of not only Sirius A but also of Sirius B and Sirius C before science found them. They cannot be seen with the naked eye. They know where they are, what kind of a stars they are. My knowledge of science is not great but apparently they know that Sirius C is a type of star that is somehow more dense and heavier than other stars and this has been corroborated as true. they know the elliptical (egg shaped), orbits or the stars. I read a book on this called the Sirius Mystery. It was originally printed in the 70's (1st edition), and science didn't locate Sirius C until the 90;'s. There is now a new edition out explaining this. They are a primitive tribe in Africa and should not have any of this knowledge. They claim that men from the stars (Sirius) came to earth thousands of years ago and gave them the knowledge.

Read the book Cosmic Trigger by Robert Anton Wilson for an intriguing look into metaphysical side of the Dogon tribe's beliefs.
