Is anything going to commemorate Syd Barret's death?

He died recently, and I was wondering if there are any public events or anything going on in his honor. He was a real inspiration. Also, feel free to post your feelings on him and his death if you don't know. Shine on forever, Crazy Diamond.

Syd Barrett was Pink Floyd's original guitarist.

I haven't heard. I'm a big Pink Floyd fan. Watched a documentary on them once... Wondering if I am correct in recalling that Syd actually left the group early, and most their famous work was in honor/missing him? That always stuck with me. Hopefully some one will post an actuall answer...
