my comp is new and has not blocking and im old and dont understand why i can get in a chat room on her comp, but my comp wont let me do a thing, please help me if you can

You may not have software installed that is needed for it like Flash, Shockwave, or Java. You could also try turning off the Windows Firewall since that can block some stuff from installing from websites.

New computers often don't have the java runtime environment installed on them. So go to sun microsystems website and install it. Yahoo chatrooms and lots of their games are written in java. If that don't work, download netscape browser and try it in that. Netscape has java built in.

my dad got perent lock and did not tell mi and all they will say is it does not work u ask him y dont u call the cumputer guy he say we dont need one thank god i dont live with him im only here for the vacations

you may have to ask your parents,they may have blocks on the computer so they can monitor you.
