Most people that hate wrestling state that it's fake. This is a half-truth. Wrestling may be choreoghaphed but true fans of wrestling appreciate the talent that the superstars have in executing thier moves and putting thier bodies and there very lives on the line all in the name of entertainment.
People that hate wrestling can't understand that it isn't just a sport... it's sports-entertainment. This means that it is meant to entertain and not as a contest.
People that hate wrestling are closed-minded to any other type of art forms. Everytime a fan of wrestling asks a person who hates wrestling why they hate it, we get a common response; it's gay! It's not real! Only rednecks watch wrestling! It's stupid!
Yet, there is no real reason that they hate it. I can tell you in thousands of words why I hate Brussel Sprouts. Better yet, I can tell you why I hate the OC. I can tell you why I hate American Idol. But no one knows why they hate wrestling.

Because amatuer wrestling gets a bad rap because when people think of wrestling they think of the BS they see on TV. Also because most people do not understand the personal commitment it takes to be a wrestler, the hours of practice, the aches and pains, and the having to watch your weight thing. People dont hate wrestling they just dont understand it and that is unfortunate because it is a great sport to participate in and to watch.

I think it's cuz there is a sterotype around Wrestling. Before i ever watched it I thought it was lyke moster truck rallies..white trash kinda thing..Then I watched it & realized it was really cool. Whenever I tell my friends ANYTHING about what happend on it they rag on me && tell me how fake it is..Yes the storylines are fake but they do really get hit & stuff..u have to belive that, I've stoped telling my freidns I watch it, but tune in every week to see what I happens. If you've never watched it I highly suggest it.the storylines are kinda like a semi-soap opera..but w/ ppl beating each other up..Its awsome. && its not just for old men, I'm one of the preppest grls & I luv it!(just a recomindation RAW is better than Smackdown! in my opinion)

I think its because wrestling is fake and when i found out it was fake i started to go off of it but now im a huge fan just like i used to be.

Because they don't watch it! My husband didn't like wrestling when we met. He said it was for kids and fake, but when he realized I was watching it with a bunch of guys at the bar, he decided to watch it with me. After a couple of weeks he started to really enjoy it, and after his first PPV, he was hooked. Now he collects all the DVDs and watches as much as he can. We actually have debates over who will win matches. It is great

Depends...are you talking WWE type wrestling involving steriods and story lines, or REAL WRESTLING? I used to like pro wrestling, but now all its a joke, all they show are girls in bikinis and too much talking. But I LOVE real wrestling.

wrestling is not a sport for casual fans, wrestling has fanatics because its one of those things, like sushi, you either love it or you dont...so dont mind everyone else, if you enjoy it thats all that matters! :-)
