Absolutely. In fact, I'd be somewhat suspicious if she/he didn't. There has to be full disclosure to the SEC, though.

Yes. In fact, many good investment management companies encourage employees to invest with the firm. Some even go as far as prohibiting employees to invest outside the firm.
