I think so and in Queens is the most appropriate place because of space.

i think the last world's fair in the usa was in new orleans about twenty years ago. if new york bid on it and got approval from the internation exposition committee in paris, they probably would find a site out of manhattan, since there is no room or traffic accomodation. the last two there were held in flushing, queens, in 1939-40 and 1964-5. the latter was not technically a world's fair, as it was a corporation. however, it is thought to be one of the best ones in recent history.

I went to the worlds fair in Tenn around 1982. No big deal like an overgrown state fair.

I didn't even know they had world's fairs anymore. The last one in the US was such an abysmal financial failure, I think New Orleans is STILL paying off the bonds issued for it. Why go to a world's fair when you can go to Epcot?
