Ya! My doctor told me that it is very important to get in 8-10 glasses a day to be healthy. I try the best I can.... =) but here is how I do it!
*in the morning I have 2 glasses while I am getting ready (it sounds crazy, but It gets two glasses out of the way!)
*carry a bottle around with me all morning (if at school, i drink between classes
*water for lunch
(that's 4 glasses so far!)
*carry a bottle around in the afternoon
*I drink a glass of milk for supper (i need my calcium!) and usually I still need more to drink, so I drink a glass of water there
*and I usually have 1 glass of water while getting ready for bed
*and then I take water to bed and put it on my nightstand!
That's the eight glasses! I try really hard.... usually I only get 6 in and I think that is pretty good. Eight glasses of water really seems like a lot! And I think if you can fit in 6 every day... then you are in good shape! =)
O... and about that going to the bathroom all the time.... ya, it happens, but the results are worth it, and you will most likely get used to it in a few weeks...maybe months! I did!
Way to be healthy girl!

That's actually been kind of disproven I think, but if you still want to be ms. healthy water drinker, then you need to get one of those mondo water bottles or one of those hats that people usually use for beer. If all else fails, every time you see a water fountain-heck, any fountain-go and drink from it for a long time:you know you should stop either when it gets dark out, you feel something wet down your leg, or you start getting beat by the people behind you. good luck! or you can save up rainwater an a sombrero and drink ALL THE TIME! Carry a watermelon with a straw around in in at all times! Its also a way to releive stress by spitting the seeds at people!

There's no scientific basis for 8 glasses of water per day. If it were scientific, it would have to be different amounts of water for people of different sizes. It would have to consider how much exercise you are getting and how hot and dry it is where you live.
If you're going to the bathroom all of the time, your body is telling you that you're getting enough water.
On the other hand, if it's a bladder control issue, you could try doing Kegel exercises. Those have the added benefit of keeping you out of diapers when you get older, but some people feel uncomfortable thinking about that. I won't include a link to anything on those, so you can decide whether you're feeling liberal enough to google it on your own.

I like to add a wedge of lemon or lime. Your bladder eventually gets used to the extra intake - but that is if you give up sodas that contain caffiene. An interesting side effect to going strictly to water - no soda - is that you start losing your craving and taste for sweets. Many of my water drinking friends at the gym report the same thing. An added bonus!. I average more like 12-14 glasses per day.Drink up!

I heard on TV once that it's not just 8 glasses of water you have to drink. It was said that as long as you drink 8 glasses of fluids a day, then you're good to go, so it doesn't necessarily have to be water. That way you can drink apple juice too or whatever you like as long as it's not too high in calories and sugar like soda. You either have to really like water or force yourself to drink it and not too many people like plain water, so don't kill yourself over it.

Well since it says that you should drink eight 8-oz glasses of water a day which is equal to 64 oz a day, you could drink two liter bottles of water because one liter is equal to 33.8 oz so if u drink two liters that equals 67.6 oz for that day. What helps me is to buy a liter of Evian, Dasani, Aquafina or whatever and I drink that through the morning or afternoon and once that is done I refill it and continue through the afternoon and night.

use the sugar-free drink mixes made by crystal light or an off brand zero calories, sugar, carbs. same as water and it makes it much easier to drink. after a couple of days of drinking water the bathroom trips will slow down to normal. thats just your bodies way of flushing out all the bad stuff.

You could try flavored water. I think Aquafina, or one of those has lemon and raspberry flavored water. It may help with drinking 8 glasses of water. Try spacing it out, over 8 hours a day....try 1 glass per hour...
