Some 3600 years ago, several accounts described an object that was in orbit around our sun, called the "Destroyer" and some referred to it as the "Frightener." This object (also known as Ninirn or Planet X ) is expected to return. Just last year it was rumored to have been seen on its way to our sun. Any information is helpful. The above is all I know so far.

The phrase 'Planet X' has many completely different meanings. It is a general name for any undiscovered planet ... but there have been *many* Planet X theories, some scientific theories, some mere speculation, some complete nonsense.

You are referring to a claim by a guy named Zecharia Sitchin who wrote a book called "The Twelfth Planet" (1978 ... the first in a series of books called the Earth Chronicles) in which he claimed that the Sumerians had records of some celestial body that could be visible 3,600 years ago, and had an orbit of 3,600 years ... so it is due for a return. (The book also claimed that the planet is inhabited, and that these aliens created humans ... but we don't have to go there.) There is no evidence of any such planet.

As for a return in 2012, there were also man people predicting that it would return in 2003 ... many even claiming that there would be a collision (you can still find many of these sites). It is always amusing when these dates come and go with no event whatsoever ... and yet it doesn't take long for a new one to appear. (Just in 2006 alone the earth was supposed to be hit by a comet on 3/25/06, and Satan was to appear on 6/6/06.) It would be funny ... except that some people take these ridiculous predictions seriously and get really anxious about them.

Don't confuse this with other Planet X theories that *are* based in some real science ... even though they were still disproven. E.g., there was once an astronomical theory of a large planet outside the orbit of Neptune that would explain some discrepancies in the orbits of the gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune). While looking for this we found Pluto ... but Pluto was much too small. (We have also found a lot of other small planetoids, such as 2003 UB313, which is a bit larger than Pluto ... but these have not yet be officially classified as planets.)

The Planet X theory was eventually disproved with data from the Pioneer and Voyager space probes, as these got more accurate measurements of the orbits and masses of the outer planets.

So bottom line: THERE IS NO PLANET X.

planet x is said to be a tad bit bigger than pluto so it is very likley it is a planet and not a satilite of pluto or space material. but it is not offical and the gov. has said it to not be an officail planet because there is not enough proof.

This is a belief from Zecharia Sitchin.

There is no scientific proof about this scenario.
