They never bother me. I think a main part in being christian is to get other people to join up and think like they do.

I am a Christian and I am not uptight one bit and the only I get in anyone's business is if I am invited. What does Bible thumping mean?

Not all Christians are like that. It is mainly the hypocrits who are like that. It is good to share the message of Christ and his salvation. With that said, if you are going to do so, be diplomatic about it. Don't judge anyone, just share your faith. You can ask someone if they want to come to church or Bible study with you. Some people are uptight and in one's business because they feel it's their duty. Your duty is to life your life correctly according to God's law and love people unconditionally. Let your light shine, don't force it. Let it show.

Usually it means that they are unsure of their own faith so they need to push you to feel superior. Be yourself and Show People how your personality portrays the work of the Lord. You don't need to be in someones face to show them you have the Love of Jesus Christ in your heart. Spread the sunshine through grace and humility. Be a friend first.

For a large part of the Christan faith converting non believers is a major aspect. Preaching the gospel and testifying about their believes are part of their believes. So that is why they do it, it is deeply ingrained in their belief system.
