All these people need to relax. The pistons will do just fine. yes, their record probably won't be the same as it was last year, but hey, now they can get offense from EVERYONE on the floor and have good free throw shooting from EVERYONE. Mohammed can block shots and rebound, and besides, we don't need an all-star center, we got others - Billups, Hamilton, and the developing Prince, who continually keeps getting better. Prince was the go-to-guy in much of the playoffs. Ben didn't do well in the playoffs anyway, he just hurt us- he didn't play that good of defense and his free throws hurt us. He obviously didn't want to stay with the pistons, so he'll regret his decision after watching the Pistons hoist the NBA finals trophy on T.V. next year.

Sure the loss of Big Ben will affect them greatly, but the bigger picture is more important. That is, the Pistons have now lost that chemistry that they always longed for. The reason why they took Darko Milicic in '03 over Wade or Anthony is to keep the chemistry between Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace, and Rasheed Wallace. Now that Big Ben has left, the chemistry is gone and there is nobody to do the dirt work inside the paint for the Pistons. The Pistons will still be able to score from outside, but there inside game will deteriorate because Rashheed and Tayshaun aren't the toughest post players. Detroit will have to kiss their dreams of winning goodbye because without an efficient rebounder/ Shotblocker like Ben Wallace, the Pistons will surely suffer.

They might be in some trouble.... but I agree w/ the others who said if Detroit believed him to be that valuable of a player, they would have offered him a more lucrative offer. Good luck to Ben Wallace!!!
But the Pistons are not in as much trouble as the Suns are in... They only have 10 players!

No Big Ben WallaceNo Pistons. All they had to do was top the 4 year $60 million contract da bulls offered. If they really liked ben they would not have gave him a lousy 4 year $48 million contract offer

I think this can benefit the Pistons. Nazr Mohamed isn't a big drop defensively from Bean and he's more polished offensively. He has just as much post-season experience and he's also younger then Ben. After what Shaq done Ben in the playoffs I wouldn't want him anyway.

I think that they're still gonna be competitors because the 4 starters they have left are good players and have big hearts and nazr is actually a pretty good defender and can finish around the basket easily something big ben couldnt do but without ben they wont have the same hype man to bring it out in everybody every night or the only guy in the league who can stop shaq one on one

Their scoring will probably do the same, even better maybe because Ben has no offensive capabilities; with someone else in the lineup they can possibly do better in scoring, but will have bad defense which will be their weakness and eventually cause them to lose games to the elite teams such as the Cavs or the Suns.

Billups is the final pistons participant as a results of fact without him interior the lineup they are suffering against good communities. Their offense do no longer pass properly without him interior the lineup. he's extremely like the nash of the suns interior the eastern convention.

they will still get in the playoffs, they possess something most of the teams (east or west) don't have and that is team work. they would probably be a more offensive team now with Flip Saunders but look for the lock-down Pistons offense come crunch time.

They need help. There were no superstars on that team but he was the soul of the team. Rip Hamilton is the heart, but they can't do it without Big Ben's D presence. They're going to need help or they're going to finish fourth in the East.
