if you haven't deleted the browser cache you have a big chance it's still there.
the browser cache is a folder that is on
c:\documents & settings\your username\local settings\temporary internet files\

a system restore for this is feeble mindedness

Depends on the "something," and on the software that you used to download it. It is probably easiest to download it again, unless there's a reason why you can't download it again.

If your running Windows, try using Windows Explorer to search for the file, and see if it's on your computer somewhere.

have you checked your trash? Just click on it if you have not emptied it yet and you can click on it to restore it. If you have deleted your trash then it is gone. Hope this helps.

go to my computer click on your c: drive and see if you can find the download it is there most of the time when you find it just click on it and it will download over

most systems restore from the trash or recycle bin ... will your system allow you to do that?
