Depends on a lot of things, but technically yes.

I find rabbits benefit more from the human interaction they would receive indoors, but if you do want to consider keeping it outdoors, think first of the following:

Will you still give it the attention it needs if it isn't inside? Will you remember to give it food and water?

You also need to find a hutch for it that is weather proof. Some pet stores sell these, you could also check farm supply stores. Make sure the cage is big enough and provides enough shelter and wind resistance. Where do you live, what is the climate like? If it is always warmer outside, make sure it is kept in a shady spot and has lots of fresh water. If it gets cold in your area, you have to make sure it doesn't get TOO cold, and that it has adequate bedding to stay warm (also, I'd go with a larger breed if it's going to be exposed to colder weather).

Think long and hard about it though, and get a book. Also try and find a few breeders in the area and ask them for specific advice about the breed you're going to get. Smaller rabbits don't do nearly as well outside as larger ones.

Yes, you can keep it ouside, as long as you set up the right kind of home for it. Keeping a bunny takes some work (and money) so make sure that your mom is ok with you getting one and that she's willing to help you take care of it. You'll need to get a hutch that's big enough for it to hop around in and has both an open section (screened in) and a closed section where it can go to be protected from the weather, and hide and sleep if it wants. I recommend getting your bunny from a breeder rather than a pet store but, whichever you choose, make sure you ask lots of questions and get all the information from them about how to take care of your new pet. They can tell you all you need to know about how to set up its hutch, what kind of food to give it, etc. Good luck!

I had a bunny when I was younger and my dad made us a hutch. It was probably four to five feet long and two-and-a-half feet wide. About two feet tall. Anyway, we had the very small square mesh on the bottom so waste would fall below, then had a little hut he made inside the pen. All of it was covered and kept in the shade. Yes, if it gets cold, make sure they have pleanty to keep them warm and make sure their water source doesn't freeze. In the summer, make sure they have plenty of water so they don't overheat. But bunnies have lived outdoors long before us, don't worry. Just use precaution.

Bunnies don't do well outside unless you have the right kind of housing for them. They have to have lots of cover, and lots of bedding to keep warm during cool weather. They need lots of space to run around. I had bunnies once and I just put them in a wire cage and they died. Needless to say, I've never had bunnies again.

Of course you can...i did it and my bunnies lived for a long time. Just make sure you don't forget about it, because it is outside. If you are not spending lots of time with it, Watch out cuz it could turn really mean...my suggestion is to get 2 bunnies, then when you are not around they will always have eachother.

i have two rabbits who we keep outside. at night they sleep in a cage and during the day they run around our garden. when it get below freezing we bring them inside at night, and they also have a heating bad. i have heard there are mosquito borne diseases which outdoor bunnies are suseptable to but this has never been a problem for me. one thing i do have to worry about is racoons and neighborhood cats. however, i think that the fresh air is probably good for the bunnies.

Yes -- but I live in Los Angeles. The folks down the street kept their bunnies in a cage without problems, for years.
My next door neighbor kept his big rabbit outdoors in the back yard for almost a year -- then it got loose. In the following months, we'd see it in the neighborhood, but no one could catch it. Eventually, it apparently wandered off.

to be completely honest, i dont think you want a rabbit inside, they get stinky. I personally have had several rabbits and they were all outside, you just have to check the water level regularly and keep it fresher for outside animals for the heat and all.

Yes I have always kept mine outside. Just make sure they have plenty of food and water and try to keep them in the shade out of the sun and direct heat.
