OK. Apparently I have to add more details because the responders don't understand the question ... except for Stevedore's wife, who seems to get the idea.

The obvious answer is that a vacuum cleaner cleans vacuums ... duh! (and I mean "duh" literally)
And apparently a steam roller rolls steam, a wind breaker breaks wind, and a lunch counter counts lunches.
Get it?? Ha, ha!

NOW, the question is, who can provide humorous or clever examples to add to the list?

it cleans by creating a vacuum.

Steam roller - flattens by rolling and using steam heat.
windbreaker - breaks the wind
lunch counter - counter where lunch is served.
