My Son went to see if he could get a car financed at a local Chevy dealer, they told him he could get, just needs my signature and info to insure the car. When he brings me the paperwork, it was for a loan. he said the saleman told him they were out of the forms, and for me to use the one he provided. Even after I told him it was a credit app, and that all they need to do was call the insurance company anddon't need my signature, my son was convinced by what the guy told him. I think the salesperson misled my son and should be reported for this. How and where do I report this to in NY?

He took his Mother and the guy told her the same thing. She, unlike me filled it out, they told my Son he can pick up the car on Friday, My Son leaves a deposit, goes to pick up car, then told he didn't get approved. Even after the car was insured in his name and all. Thanks for all answers

Ok, I've seen some of the answers here, first of all, no need for sarchasm or the national gaurd. Please read questions before answering them, the app was sent in place of a form for insurance, I'm not an idiot, and my Son is 20 who has never financed anything, which does not make him and idiot for not knowing, and yes, I verified all this, the guy denied it, my son swore by it, called sales guy a liar in front of him, made a scene, more detail than I wanted to add. All I want to know is how to report someone for bad sales practice to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
