what does mba and md mean? my boss uses it on his card like "His name, MBA" or "her name, MD"

is it like a position or something? if so, what kind?

= Master of Business Administration
I have a college degree in Business Administration, however, I do not add anything after my name; even though it was a lot of work to get my MBA, I think it looks pretentious.



MD = Medical Doctor

MBA- graduate degree in Business

MD- medical doctor

Ph.D- doctorate degree that you earn after the Masters degree
