The guy wasn't a big loss to F1. After all, he didn't win any titles and he scored only around 7 wins. He had to go now that Fernando Alonso is due to driver for McLaren for 3 years.
But he is still on contract with Ron Dennis' team, and in a press statement he announced that Montoya will not race a single lap in Nascar while he still has the contract. Which goes out at the end of the year. Ron Dennis also mentioned the possibility of Montoya coming back to the McLaren cockpit later in the season. So Nascar fans, don't expect to see him this year on the ovals.

P.S. Montoya is still an employee of the Daimler-Chrysler group. He'll drive a Dodge, part of the group, and in F1 he raced powered by Mercedes-Benz engines (one of the founders of the group)

I'm one of the few Colombians who think Montoya is a preak. Hopefully he won't crash as many cars as in F1.
