Well i have yet to see the UN make a huge difference in anything. Do they think sending a small envoy to the MIddle East is going to solve the problem. If everyone listene to the UN then the world would be in the hands of terrorists. They have to become more proactive and not be scared to make the tough decsions, you can't please everyone.

and why were there so many resolutions about Israel and none about the Palestinians. Suicide bombing civilians is approved and self-defense is forbidden.
How many resolutions were there for HAMAS, Hezbollah, Palestine? Oh, that's right. The Palestinians have done nothing to create a state of their own. They haven't agreed to one peace treaty as yet.

the great and unpowerful UN. cant even do anything about darfor in Africa. millions have died over there and the UN has just sat there and scratched their arses.The UN as a Talking force is the best in the world. as an action force. they are about as much good a fly trying to lift an Elephant.

um how about the resolution of not firing rockets at them when they had declared a cease fire, or digging a tunnel into the their land when a cease fire is on, and killing and kidnapping their troops??
I think it was terrible that the Israelis are upset about their troops being treated this way!! They should have shot more of their own men to appease the terrorists!!

Should the question not be why do we bother with the UN? Usa and Britain proved you don't need to take any notice and their supposed to be two guiding lights of it.
