I'm 34 weeks pregnant and yes its very safe and good exercise to swim, although due to the belly you might not be able to 'swim' like you think.... I just kind of float around :) I also lay out in the sun and i just make sure the belly is completely covered by my bathing suit and i bring a hand towel and lay it over me just to make sure he isnt getting to much sun in there... Your fine! Hope you had fun! and Good Luck

It's totally okay to go swimming. Sun is fine too, just don't burn your belly, the skin is a lot more sensitive than other parts of your belly right now because it's being stretched (presonal expereince - I burned my belly when I was 7-8 months pregnant and it's no fun). Everything's okay, keep loving yourself! Swimming is a great way to get exercise that would otherwise be very difficult to get at this point, since it's probably a lot more difficult for you to move around right now. It's also a great way to feel a bit of a break, because the water helps to support the weight of your belly, so it makes the load feel a little lighter fora while.
On that note, when you go into labor, it's really great to sit in a bathtub or birthing tub and relax through contractions as well - it can actally help you to relax enough to dilate faster! There's even such a thing as waterbirth, which is a gentle easy form of birth where the mother labors and gives birth in the tub - it is a wonderful way to be born. (and safe). not in a big normal pool, though - swim in it for now but it's not a good idea when you're in labor and leaking fluids - for the sake of the pool and for the sake of the chlorine getting up your wazoo. :)

Swimming is very good for a pregnant woman!! It is a wonderful and SAFE exercise. It also helps mom-to-be relax because the water takes the extra weight off those aching joints. Swim as much as you can now because you will not be swimming for a while once baby comes!! Congrats on your coming addition!!

Everything should be fine as long as you weren't diving or anything silly like that. Swimming is actually good exercise for pregnant women.

I took myself swimming because I liked the idea of floating, and having that extra weight off the front of me... It feels good, huh?
And yes, it's safe. Just be sure to use Sunscreen on your stretched belly skin!

If you feel fine then you are fine. They make maternity bathing suits for a reason. As long as you don't get too hot or swim alone then you can paddle around all you like.

Swimming is actually excellent exercise for pregnant women. In fact, I would suggest you do it mre often since it takes a lot of pressure off your back.

swimming is fine and so is sun just as long as you have sunblock on and your belly dont get to hot. the only thing you dont want to do when pregnant is go in a sauna or hottub. but swimming is fine as long as you dont get cramps.

everything is fine. swimming wont hurt the baby in any way, unless you were swimming in funky nasty water that gave you a disease, then it may harm the baby. im pretty sure you didnt do that though, so your baby is fine.
