she's right. you shouldn't put eyeliner above your lashes, especially if you wear contacts. it rubs off into your eyes, and it can get under your contacts.
personally, I don't use pencil eyeliner that much. I just use regular eyeshadow and apply it with a small brush. you're supposed to put it right underneath your lashes on your skin. that's why I don't use pencil, because if you just draw a line on there it looks pretty bad (underneath the eyelashes). with the powder, it feathers it out kind of, and gives a smoky look.
I would say your cousin probably knows what she's talking about. :P

You shouldn't put it on the pink above your lashes (on the bottom). It can get into your eyes.
I don't know about the type of eyeliner, but one of those combo wet/dry ones should work fine. That's what I use, with contacts. I've always thought liquid eyeliner was for old ladies and the eighties.

You are more susceptible to eye infection if you put it on the pink part...plus it just doesn't look natural. Try instead to use a color eyeshadow different than your eye color...example blue eyes = brown liner, green or brown eyes = a plum color. To bring out the best color, just use an angle brush to apply the dark shade of these eyeshadow colors into your lash line, and then add volumizing mascara. Curl your lashes. This will open up the eye, make it look larger and best of all, takes less than 2 minutes to apply! BTW: Only apply the shadow to the outside third of your bottom lashes.

Brown eyeliner will seem large if your doing a independent eye, yet now and back black can seem much greater effective, Throw in a pop of coloration like military while your feeling formidable. attempt to be conscious it as on the factor of your lash line as available. try working it alongside your actually lash line and smudging it in. After, life your precise lid up and line the precise interior line. this might make your eyelashes seem greater defined. if your eyes arent too small, be chuffed to line your decrease waterline with it aswell. in case you like a much broader, brighter seem, use a white eyeliner to your waterline.

It's your choice, placing liner in that area can cause the spread of certain eye disease and irritation when out of date. Try placing under the lashes or use eye shadow as liner under the lashes it works and there is a larger variety of colors.

That's also where I put my eyeliner but you should smudge it into your lash line, it gives a smokey look and isn't too thick. Your eyes might become irritated by the eye liner but if it's hypoallergenic it shouldn't do much to them.

IVE BEEN DOING MAKE UP FOR 15 YEARS AND YOU NEVER PUT LINER ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR LASH LINE ALWAYS UNDER YOUR LASHES ON THE BOTTOM LASHES AND THE TOP OF YOUR LASH'S' ON THE TOP LID . THE REASON BEHIND THIS IS BACTERIA COLLECTS ON THE TIP OF THE EYELINER AND YOU COULD BE APPLYING SOME NASTY STUFF THAT WILL BECOME INFECTED .
