Is horse hockey a spectator sport?

I have an uncle who watches a lot of sports on TV and is always yelling "horse hockey!". I am not sure how to ask him about it, as he is a bit odd.

Perhaps your uncle is expressing his dissatisfaction with a referee's call or a player's behavior, because, to my knowledge, there is no such actual sport.
