Open Office is equivalent to Microsoft Office, The Gimp is equivalent to Photoshop 7, Mozilla Firefox and Opera are better then Internet Explorer and there is no commercial equivalent to Fractal Explorer at all!

Emulate? It already does. See OpenOffice.org, Firefox, Linux, Gimp, etc.
Superceed in market share? Maybe, but it will take a change in the mindset of users, and more word getting out.

easily there are organizations which have had get entry to to the source code for Microsoft domicile windows. Microsoft domicile windows would not fall lower than the time period free Open source software, yet has been "open" to some organizations, authorities organizations, and academic institutes. getting get entry to to the source isn't inevitably elementary, even if it should be executed.
