These days many children in our society sit still in front of TV's for hours and hours. Why is this so? My mom says that nowadays the programmes in TV's have become vulgar. Children get attracted to them in their young age. Is this true? Give reasons.

It's because children don't like getting that much active these day's. All they want to do is either stay inside and watch T.V or play video games all day. And when parent's want to spend time with them, they just want to stay inside. Which is due to the ignorance of the parent not telling the child to get active.

cable and satellite have stations that run kid shows for hours and hours. Some are vulgar but some are quite good. The problem is not always the content of the show but the time wasted doing such a passive activity during the time of life when a human mind can grow and learn so much more.

Here we go....

First off that is how a lot of parenting is done anymore. It is like the parents use the TV as a babysitter. My cousin's children love Barney. So she bought them a tape with him on it. They would cry and get upset when the tape was over. She could not gain control over them. Her solution was to put the same tape and eventually other tapes back in so they would quit crying.

Secondly, parents are not being parents anymore. There are a group of them that if the kid is quiet and leaves them alone. The TV has a way of doing this. Now from experience some parents do this by putting on Nickelodean and so forth, which does have programming for children.

However what you are saying about the programs is true. There is nothing on for children anymore it seems. Outside of Disney and Nickelodean, there is not much. Even such stations as Noggin have some questionable programs on them. It used to be that in the prime time hours between 8-10 pm that there were programs on that you could sit down and watch with your kids that taught good moral lessons. Like Family Ties, The Cosby Show and so on. Now you have Will and Grace and My Name is Earl. As an adult I find these humurous, however I would not want children to be watching them. I am so glad that the Cosby Show is being released on DVD a season at a time as when I have kids I would want them to watch them. The children on their have respect for their parents and are taught good moral lessons with a great sense of humor.

It is sad to see this happen in our society today. Where on Facts of Life it was looked down upon for any of the girls to be sleeping around to now where we have One Tree Hill and The OC where these teenagers are sleeping with one another right and left. Crazy!!! Instead of someone like Shirley Temple who played a young sweet child and became a great woman of diplomacy we have Paris Hilton who has no morals and all the money to make it seem right when it's wrong.

When I was younger my mom taught me how to take care of things through discipline and being responsible. She had chores that we did and showed the correct way of doing things. When we got older the more we did. She showed us how to make homemade meals that did not come from a box but from real food. She taught us how to bake from scratch. She taught us how to sew and to take care of our clothes so that they could last. I mean my dad was around and taught us things also, I am simply referring to my mom as she was the exact opposite of what you are talking about. We had restricted TV times, otherwise we were helping, playing outside, reading or doing homework.

Well I will stop my semi-paper here and let you get on with life. However this is what I see and I think that it is sad!

you're very incorrect my chum. Rap track isn't the reason for those issues, it extremely is in basic terms a mirrored image. many human beings - in all likelihood even thousands and thousands, savour listening to rap track all over the globe, and it hasn't led to them any injury by any capacity. You strike a twine in me of those human beings from the olden days who might build bonfires and burn Elvis Presley and Beatles archives, because of the fact they too blamed track for all the wrongs of society. How unhappy and misguided they have been - basically as you're actually. situations do replace, and track does branch out in different instructions, no longer something continues to be an analogous perpetually. basically considering the fact which you have gotten older and don't understand or like it, does no longer propose it extremely is any much less valid or significant than the form of track which you decide directly to hearken to at residing house. Open your ideas, and stop believing each little thing you examine, there are various varieties of rap track accessible - good, undesirable and each little thing in-between. you will possibly desire to perhaps attempt listening to it good sometime, you will possibly be able to desire to truly learn something. by capacity of how, I additionally went to a private college. :-)

TV attracts children. They find love and entertainment in it. It happens due to ignorance of family members.

Its because the parents choose to use the television set to baby sit their children, or to substitute quality time with the children.

I think that the parents are just so busy these days that they have let the t.v. become a babysitter/entertainer for the kids and then the kids become addicted to it!

I think that the biggest reason is that parents let them, and use it at an early age as a baby sitter.
