While Republicans have always enjoyed majorities in the military vote, some are saying that the war in Iraq is costing them votes (see link).

Also, of the 14 Iraq / Afghanistan veterans running for Congress this year, 11 are running as Democrats and criticizing how the administration has run the war. Many of them are using that tactic to success. Of the 95 veterans running over all 55 are running as Democrats and 40 as Republicans.

You really can't go by the stats from an election because most servicemen vote for whichever president is already in office. During Clinton's second term he received the majority. The same with Bush.

Who you vote for doesn't mean which party you belong to.

To be totally fair, you have to assume, based on all registered voters in this country, that there are as many Democrats in the military as Republicans because there are more registered Democrats nationwide..

But to also be totally fair, all servicemen are discouraged from openly displaying their preference for one party or the other. (Example: No Kerry or Bush bumper stickers on tanks and jeeps.)

Democrats arn't neccasarily against the war.
I'm sure there are.

A better question would have been, "Are there any pacifists in the military?"

of course there are, they just don't lean so far to the left as what the media and other proclaimed liberals do. they're probably more of middle of the road type.
