what's the reason for the break-up in the first place? that will be your gauge if your partner can take the break-up lightly or if your partner will go ballistic on you and just storm out of the place. and there is no best line, bottom line is, it will hurt.

Well, braking up is difficult. There is no lines that one can use. the best thing is the truth. Be honest with her and how you feel. Tell you want to remain friends and such. Also bring up the living arrangements. However, chances are this one happen in one sitting. Most likely once you tell her you want to break up she is going to get emotional and need time and space to sort out things so be aware of this and patient.

I don't know if it's possible to still be friends...it works for some people ..but in my case of a 7 year relationship the hurts just went too deep...I couldn't remain friends..because even though I still loved the person..I didn't particularly like him.

You can try it, and I wish you luck, but I don't think it's very likely.
