Just please be careful with this. My friend lives in Saudi Arabia and all I kept hearing about is how he hates living with his sister and how he hates his job. Sure enough a few months later he requested I send a letter for an invitation for him to come to the US. I decided to see just how much of a friend he was and did not contact him for weeks. Sure enough I have not heard from him. Some, not all , of these people love to search the Internet for American friends and then ask the "special" favor. Try to suggest to them that they need to get here on their own accord. I have many friends from different areas of the middle east and they came here by their own means. Here is a test..tell your friend that you would love to send an invitation but because of circumstances out of your control you will not be able to assist them at the moment and you will do in in about a year or so. Then wait for the reaction. If they are willing to wait a year then you truly have a friend. Hope this helps
