A T-80 is like Nirvana. However if you can be humble and leave an easy out for your partner, go for the double 17.

You are playing double in/ out 301, 501 etc? Two trips would leave you with 60, my suggestion is to leave the highest number on the board that can be even and still leave you with a good number to throw at, like the 20. that leaves 40 on board with a double 20 out.
now if they hit the 20 that is a double 10 left, that leaves you to go to double 5 if you miss. Just do anything to keep both of you off of double 1

Two trip 20's gives you 120 pts and leaves tou with 66 pts, therefore you can't double out. I would then throw my last dart at trip 18 which leaves you double 6 your nest turn. The highest possible out is 170 which is 2 trip 20's and double bull. Good darts to you!

If you are confident after hitting the 2 trips, yeah I would go for it, but if you can only hit trips, and you have to double out then let the other person go for it. Me personally, I'm going for it.
