I've driven limos for about 11 years now, and I can only tell you that it depends on the type of limo you drive. I find Cadillac Limousines turn better than all of the rest. The SUV's can be a buger tho'. Especially the Hummers. Just make sure you get enough practice in an empty lot before driving one, especially if it's within city limits, where the traffic can challenge you. Always give yourself distance all around the limo, there are always people that don't see you or think you can stop on the spot like they can with their little Honda Civic. So, have fun, enjoy the nice air-ride and don't forget to open doors for customers. I even run to get the door of the establishment where their going to. Just make sure you don't do that if you are in a doubtful or bad neighborhood. Limos are fun and so is the pay if people can tell you're enjoying it.

FYI... Customers do not like to be asked for tip. They'll tip when they see that your service is good. Watch out for companies that try to "imply" that the tip is included. I'd suggest you have a friend call the limo service you're working for to ask for a quote and if the tip is included. Many times, companies tell their customers that the "service fee" covers the driver tip, and that "EXTRA" tip is discretionary. Be careful with those kinds of companies and don't be afraid of demanding that they stop doing that. If they continue to do that, you can go to the Better Business Bureau and report them. They must understand that even though you're earning 10 - 20 per hour, you are not guaranteed any minimum of hours, so you depend on tip to make it thru the month financially. Be frank with your customers if this is the case in your company. Let them know the service fee covers your basic pay, which is low and that any additional amount is what you survive on. That seems to work and is truthful.

How To Drive A Limo

No! I drive One, and there dead easy!,
Points to remember: Automatic, Leave left leg on rest.
Take extra time around corners
Leave room front and rear of limo when parking,(Arseholes love to block you in!)
Drag the back end (It will follow!!)
You don't need a special licence but you have to be over 25 on some car insurance policy.
Finally always use your mirrors, and for your first lesson I recommend a Duel Carriageway (Not many bends)
If you want any more information on Limousines Just ask!!.
Also A reversing camera is good help!!.

Turning circle. Where the back wheels are. Take the corners the way a bus takes them - come right out before you turn the steering wheel. Have a banksman when reversing. Otherwise fine.
