Because wearing Armani and Dolce&Gabbana clothes makes your I.Q go up, it's in the fabric they say and only the rich people can buy these garments so that is why we rich people are superior to all you peasant folks!!!

Define "better than you." Smarter? Nicer? Better Looking? More Educated? More Cultured? Funnier? Happier? or just plain Richer? Do you know everyone that has money? Maybe it's just the people you've come across that seem that way. Maybe they don't think they're better than you, maybe you just feel inferior. Do you have someone particular in mind who treats you this way? Truth be told, there are many people with "money" (as you put it) that are wonderful, hardworking people that deserve to be happy in their success. There are also many people with "money" that are miserable, pretentious snobs that are not so wonderful. Surround yourself with people you love and you'll be just fine. Don't obsess over "money." If you need "money", then get out there and make some.

Its because success in our society it commonly defined by how much money you make... and people tend to believe that if they're more successful that someone else, then they're "better" than that person.
