I need to take the rotors off so that I can take them to the mechanic. I do not have the money to allow the mechanic to take them off. I have a 1996 Subaru Legacy that I take the rotors off, but this Dodge is a completely different ballfield.

ryan is an idiot, the rotors on a 90 ram are not floaters.
what you need to do is remove the caliper, remove the dust cover in the center of the wheel, remove the cotter pin, remove locking seat, remove the nut, remove outer bearing - it will slide right off... if you already tried what ryan said, you may be buying bearings next...

There is two kinds of rotors . One you can remove by taking the brake pads off , and the other where you have to take the hub bolt loose to remove it . First you take out the little cotter key , then the hub bolt will unscrew . After that it should come right off . Just make sure to add new axle grease(White Lithium) before you reinstall it back on the vehicle .

remove wheel. remove brake caliper..set aside. get hammer and small peice of lumber. put lumber behind rotor..whack with hammer until rotor falls off.

next time, don't let the brakes wear down so far that you damage your rotors. they can only be "turned" (ground flat) so many times until you HAVE to get new ones.

To the best of my knowlege, you should be able to take them off, maybe need to do some tapping, once the caliper is taken off and out of the way. I don't know that anything else holds them on.
