There are already some of my favorites in here, The Cure...love that song, and Iris, also VERY GOOD, but I'll pick something different and older how about What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, what a classic...But there are a million good love songs..Here's a link

"If"

David Gates

If a picture paints a thousand words,
then why can’t I paint you?
The words would never show,
the you I’ve come to know . . .

If a face could launch a thousand ships,
then where am I to go?
There’s no one home but you,
you’re all that’s left me to . . .

And when my love for life
is running dry,
You come and pour
yourself on me . . .

If a man could be two places at one time,
I’d be with you,
tomorrow and today,
beside you all the way . . .

If the world should stop revolving,
Spinning slowly down to die,
I’d spend the end with you
when the world was through . . .

Then one by one
the stars would all go out . . .
Then you and I
would simply fly away!

The First Time Ever I saw Your Face by Roberta Flack. The ultimate love song for me.

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
and the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
to the dark and the endless skies

and the first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hands
like the trembling heart of a captive bird
that was there at my command

and the first time ever I layed here with you
I felt your heart beat so close to mine
and I knew our joy would fill the earth
and last til the end of time

and the first time ever I saw your face
your face,your face,your face.

Ohhh, rapture!!! Oh, I wish that I would like to get married right about now if only that I have the chance to marry somebody!!!

I would go with In Your Eye by Peter Gabriel. Bring your girl or guy to a Peter Gabriel concert, look her in the eye at the appropriate time, and give her a smooch.

And when you're done, why don't you propose to her. And then get some great wedding accessories at http://www.sensibleweddings.com.

"Used To Love Her" by Guns N' Roses...just kidding.

My favorite is "Zero" by a little known band called OPEN CAGE. It is on iTUNEs, under their "Far From Home" CD. I can send you a legal mp3 if you want (i know the band).

Lyrics:

Zero

You want to clean my dirty mind
Guess I’ll let you brainwash me
Put my heart into formaldehyde
But leave my lungs room to breathe

Chorus:
Too scared to be a coward
Too strong to be a hero
As long as there’s one hope to devour
Oh oh - we’re an infinite way to zero

You want to solve my mysteries
Well I’m elementary my dear
Needle you into my tapestry
If should bravely volunteer

Chorus:
Too scared to be a coward
Too strong to be a hero
As long as there’s one hope to devour
Oh oh - we’re an infinite way to zero
