what can i do to make my husband go get a job.?

i gave him till next friday to get a job or he would have to move out i cant have him continueing to live off of me having me live payck to payck i think he thinks im just fibbing but im not when a person is fed up they will go to this extreme. i do love him but i dont know what to do to make him see i am for real this time.

Hold strong to what you feel is right. He should have a job and needs to do something about that.

I agree if he doesn't have a job by Friday then have his things packed and by the door. Never make threats that you don't plan on following through with.

Explain to him that you love him and want to be with him, but that he as to get a job to make it all happen.

I was in the same kinda perdickerment and I quiet school and got a job after he lost his. And I thought that he was trying to get a job but he was lying to me about looking this went on for a year and a half before I told he to get the f*** out of MY house because I had to pay ever thing and support his smoking habit I was 19 and just said enough. When men don't wont to work thy wont. Thy will lie and hide from you just to make you think that thy are really trying it seemed that he could not find a job no were. so just be cautious of what he tells you because he could be lying to you about the whole thing so be careful and my god give you strength to stand up for what you believe in.

Well if he can't get a job by then you are doing the right thing by making HIM leave... No sense in you working while he is laid up in bed doing nothing. I can NOT see how a "real" man can lay up do NOTHING while the WOMAN is out there busting her a$$ to take care of the family...what an excuse for a man...LAZY!!! get rid of him and go find you a true man to love and to love you!!! Been there done that know what you are going through. Love can't save everything honey. He needs to get a job or get the hell out your relationship depends on it make sure he knows you mean business. You can start off with making him sleep on the couch put a lock on your bedroom door and lock him out. He'll know you mean what you say then, it worked like a charm for me. Good Luck

don't let money be the reason your marriage goes down the drain that sounds so childish you say you love him. you didn't mention how long he's been out of a job. maybe he's depressed. talk to him about it... he needs to join the circle of life-- join society. he will feel great about himself if he puts forth the effort and lands a job. Men like to be the care taker... So he could be down on himself about that.. because he's not at the moment. This nothing a little encouragement (no threatening-- he will resent you) won't help.

Either stop supporting him or make him earn being home - have him do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. If he refuses - throw the bum out and start divorce proceedings, you do not need to be saddled with a parasite.
