I need logical reasons why people are wearing hats besides the wheather conditions sun/rain etc. I believe that it might be a personal insecurity issue. The hat fade! LOL!

the hat FAD, and it's really not a fad, it's just like an acessory. Why people wear rings, they just are interesting. or why tou wear clothes, it's just something that people do. Sometimes to imitate what other 'cool' people are wearing, in order to become cool.

Well, when i am on the golf course, i wear a hat to shade the sun from my eyes, and i am sure that is the soul purpose of a hat...

i'm not too sure about whereever you are from, but here in Montana i've noticed that lots of guys need to have their "eatin' lids" on before they can go out in public to have a meal.
