When they kidnapped the two soldiers and killed eight others they had to know Israel was going to hit back. And if they want to fight to the last man, it's their choice. But for the sake of the civilians why don't they get out of town? If they stay in the middle of the cities there will be civilian casualties. There is no way around it.
Do they think because they stay in the city and hide behind women, children and the elderly Israel won't strike them?
And why does the media not scream as hard for Hezbollah to quit shooting rockets as it does for Israel to stop dropping bombs?

They know, as the "Palestinians" do, if they fight out of populated areas, many non-combatants are sure be killed. They know Israel doesn't want to kill non-combatants.
The UN can then use these civilian deaths to charge Israel with "disproportionate" fighting. It's actually a very effective weapon. Probably why fighters hiding in population centers is illegal under the Geneva Conventions.

They do not do this because Hizbullah's intention is to kill innocent Israeli civilians. They most effective way they can do this is by firing their Katyushas towards big towns and cities, like how they targeted Haifa (Israel's third largest city) yesterday.
You also pointed out the common media bias i.e. all of my local newspapers headlines went something like this "Israel bombs Lebanese militants". This makes it seem like Israel started it, which is not true at all. (Hizbullah started by firing at IDF soldiers and kidnapping two of them). Also, all of the front page pictures I have seen are of IDF soldiers firing artillery at Hizbullah stockpiles, making it seem like Israel is the "bad guy" in this conflict.
I think that Israel and the U.S. must wage a war against fundamentalist Islam, because until the Arabs stop brainwashing their kids to kill every Jews and Westener in the name of Allah, these ruthless attacks will go on. The Arabs hide behind women and children, blaming Israel for killing these civilians, which they use as human shields.

They are cowards. They hide under the aprons of their mothers and then claim Israel is killing women. They send 15 y.o. kids to blow themselves up among civilians. They are the definition of cowardice.

You should know by now that the media prints only the things that hurt or show something bad about Israel.

they dont have the courage to fight to the last coward standing. this terrorist group hazbollah is nothing more than many weak character individuals grouping together trying to make a name for themselves.
