$3 Million Dollar Lawsuit for Blog Post?

Howdy,

I have been sued by a corporation for $3 million bucks for a post that I published on my blog in October 2005. I was served in December with no warning or anything. At the time I was 23 (24 now) and couldn't afford an attorney, so I was forced to defend myself. I actually have oral arguments for my motion for summary judgment on July 20, 2006. I'm getting extremely nervous and was wondering if anyone knew of any related legal cases that I could talk about, or wanted to highlight some of the issues already discussed in the pleadings that I wrote.

Also, I would be very interested in any information people would have on how to raise awareness about my case since it threatens both free expression on the internet and weaker individuals that don't have the resources for legal battles.

Geez! I can't believe you're going through this. I really think you should still try to get advice from a lawyer or a professional. Try looking at a local Law School. Maybe there is a professor or student that can help you do the research or give you advice. Good luck!
