Musa and Ashley were kicked off this week and they were both hip hop dancers. They had incredible talent especially Musa but he was still kicked off, what do you think.

It's not unfair - it's just that being good at hip-hop doesn't lend itself to being very versatile. Hip-hop is great and I love it, but your typical hip-hop dancer usually either freestyles or has one or two cool routines, and has never received any formal training. The same is true of break dancers.

Contemporary, ballet, and ballroom dancers have an advantage on the show because they have all received years of formal training so they respond better to the training they get on the show. Most of them have also experienced having to learn somebody else's choreography more than once. Ballroom dancers, in particular, typically learn new routines all the time. They also have a versatility advantage because most of them work on several different ballroom dances...usually a minimum of 4, but often as many as 10-12, or even more.

It's too bad about Musa though, because he was pretty versatile anyway and I liked him. His hip-hop was amazing, and he really impressed me with a couple of his other dances - he danced a beautiful lyrical/contemporary dance at one point.

No, I don't think it's unfair. Last season, that one hip hop guy made all the way to the final show. It is definitely based on talent, ability, and personality. Ashley was good but not very exciting in her routines. Musa was very good. I think that Demetri should have gone instead of Musa. I think that Musa was doing pretty well with the choreography. Demetri has has nice body but when he is not doing ballroom, he doesn't move me.

Hip Hoppers, although great entertainers, are not trained dancers. I have three children who attented dancing school or many years at an exhorbitant amount of money. A hip hopper need only to be able to move his body around and really requires little training. It's the difference between an art and a skill and dancing is an art that must be studied and practiced.

i think the show's unfair to hip hop dancers cuz musa was really good and he got kicked off so that means they really don't know talent if they kicked him off the show

woman have you ever seen final season us of a's terrific Dance team? there became into 2 plus length women on there and that they are able to POP AND LOCK. answer is not any you do no longer would desire to be in large condition to do hip hop. pay attention to SiSi and to no longer point out Di is right. component of being a dancer is having self assurance, understanding you have the thoughts, the hobby, the suggestions-blowing thought to circulate and dance. do no longer enable others rule you and then substitute right into a stereotype(please). Hip Hop is a Dance, Dance is a artwork and artwork is expressing who you're and what you adore.

No and the reason why is twofold: They were in the bottom groups as voted by the call-in votes. And the judges have to compare the all the bottom dancers against each other. By the way, starting next week only the voting by America counts. The judges will be there to give comments but that's all

The winners of the show should know a little more than hip hop- all types of dances

I wasn't surprised with Ashlee cause even though she could pop and lock she wasn't going to beat Martha & Natalie.

Also I understand the reason why Musa was kicked off cause his partner was the stronger dancer but I feel that Ryan, (Hedi's parnter) should have been kicked off.

Also if you get a chance could you answer my questions (thanks):

I was mad. they were really good dancers...the show is harder for hiphop dancers more than anything else. the reason being is if you do ballet or anything like that it is easier for you to do ballroom dancing and stuff.Hip hop is its own kind of dancing in itself also belly dancing. Good show but hard for hiphop dancers.
