I am going to join the military to help out, because if we are going to be there a long time, the military is going to need more soldiers.

Indefinitely until Iraqi government is able to efficiently managing its nation, and its military is capable of defending themselves from potential insurgency. This is a long-term effort Bush has in mind to best insure the cause of Iraq invasion comes a good ending. However, we will eventually put ourselves out of Iraq. It's just a matter of time though.

Before I went, I saw your additional comments about joining the US military. Good for you! Without devoted patriots like you, Iraq would not have the progress we see today in terms of its defense and democracy. There's always the risk of being killed or attacked; it's a life or death commitment, so be strong and I wish you luck every step of the way and come safely home.
