fiberglass is a very touchy material to work with,a nd it takes good expereince to do it right the first time. either forget the plan (i know...i have projects i have to abandon too for a variety of reasons), or find a local who can build it for you...= money. perhaps someone in a body shop wouldn't mind trading the work for a day or so out on your boat (with you as captain) with a few beers and some fishin' line.

I'll tell you, but you're not going to like it! First you have to build a wooden template for the inside dimensions of the arch, then an outer template for the outside dimensions and shape. After you've done that, you get to buy a Chop gun, fiberglass line (chop), and reagents. You then spray the "chop" and liquid reagents onto the outer template, and roll it smooth, by hand. Then you get to do the same thing with the inner template that houses the support brackets which will attach the whole contraption to the boat. Then you assemble the inner and outer sections, and spray the seams with more chop. After it's all completely cured, you sand the seams smooth, then paint it and gel coat it. Hopefully, if you did it right, it's now about December, and you can install it on your boat. By now the cost of the materials, and man hours consumed to fabricate this thing has reached about 1 1/2 times the value of the boat. But if you already have an empty building the size of a 3 car garage, and the EPA permits necessary to even buy the materials, I say go for it!
It would be easier and a LOT less expensive to go to a local top maker and have a custom top made, and you'll have it on your boat in a week or two.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/EBfcT
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.
