I am from detroit and i go to Central Highscool. The shhool is in the middle of gang realted areas. I am not talking stuff about the city but just telling yall how it is. 4 months ago someone shot up my school over some crazy stuff but the good thing was no one got hurt. Detroit is a kinda bad city to me. The thing that makes it bad is this is not no citry top where you can talk S*** and get away with it. I Love this city Detroit people are going to be on the rise very soon. We got it hard here but the hard way is the best way sometime. Detroit, Mi always.

im from michigan, i love detroit im sure that you could easily get into trouble if your in the wrong place, but for the most part its a very fun city,

I don't know all that much about Detroit, but I can't recall a time when it was 'Hiptown USA' so maybe Detroit's turn is coming. What you need is more local people to start telling the world about Detroit's good points (and I'm sure it has them) Good tourist attractions. Reasons for coming.
Bring your city into the popular consciousness and people will start visiting out of curiosity. Then the new revenue coming in can be used to spruce up the city and tackle its social problems.
Get a 'Detroit is cool' thing going and people will want to know why.

I've heard that Detroit is very bad... crime, gang activity and violence in schools, etic... But isn't it just ONE SECTION of Detroit?... not the whole city? I'm in New Jersey... quite a bit away.. and I've heard a few things to that effect.

I'm born and raised in Detroit. I spent a few years in Europe, lived in California the last four years and just moved to Atlanta. i visit detroit often and i must sai, its a cool place to be...I love it and miss it!

NO!!!! I love Detroit! I'm sorry for what happened to your school, but Columbine is located in a white middle-upper class neighborhood, and those kids shot up their school. It happens everywhere! I love Dtroit, and I hope too that we will build up as strong as we were in the Motown Days
